Can't fax to specific number 2

I have been battling a problem with one of our fax lines for about three weeks now. I run a remote office and we can fax anyone in the world except the medical division of our central office a couple of states away, and they say that they can recive faxes from everyone but us. I have called both my local and long distance carriers, our central office has done the same. We checked to see if it was the fax machine by taking the fax to one of our houses nearby (that is on the part of the same CO) and the fax sent from there fine. Any suggestions. Do you think that if I switched to a more helpful local or long distance provider it would help, currently we use Allegiance/Fox communications.

You say the problem was resolved with changing the LD carrier? When a call leaves a local central office and is carried to a LD provider the provider supplies the route of the call. i.e. what other offices handle your call the problem may have been in a office that the LD provider was handing the call too. a distatnt office error.
