I am having trouble, i have tried up and down to configure my httpd.conf file to display the index.html in my / directory , but it still ALYWAYS displays the "Seeing this instead of the website you expected?" screen, i cant get rid of it.

Here is my virtual host httpd.conf exerpt:

# Use name-based virtual hosting.
#
NameVirtualHost crushkill.com

#
# VirtualHost example:
# Almost any Apache directive may go into a VirtualHost container.
# The first VirtualHost section is used for requests without a known
# server name.
#
<VirtualHost crushkill.com>
ServerAdmin secular@sympatico.ca
DocumentRoot / ServerName ErrorLog logs/crushkill.com-error_log
CustomLog logs/crushkill.com-access_log common
</VirtualHost>

I changed that and it still has that problem,

could another setting in my httpd.con file, or perhaps another conf file , or another file i forgot to config? because ive resinstalled apache 2 times already and im still getting that problem, setting the documentroot as / has no effect, and i still get the default "welcome to apahce" message.

Any suggestions, or people with similar problems, let me know!!

Note : i have apache setup on both win32 , and linux (slackware) systems, for linux its not working, but for some reason win32 works fine and it displays whatever i have in documentroot.
