I am having issues with a PRI that was installed last night. I am not able to dial international over this new route. I am not sure if something in the route would be blocking 011. I have tried setting a DMI to default with the CTYP set to UKWN. When I do this the 011 is not displayed when I check DCH messaging. If I set the DMI to insert 011 then 011 is displayed in the DCH messaging, but get a recording to check the number and dial again. Can you see anything that would be setup wrong. I spoke to the telco and they state they are not blocking anything. I went as far as dialing the ACOD then 011 and the number and I get a recording to check the number and dial again. I have tested the number I am dialing on a different route and it works so I know that the number is good.

Here are the way that things are currently setup:

Seems strange, but this INTL setting has made a difference on some systems I've come across

I tried changing the CLID INTL setting to 011 and it put 011 in front of the calling number (my number). I still get a recording that "you must put use a one and area while dialing this number check the number and dial again".

Here is DCH messaging info:

***this is changing the CLID entry***

Any ideas???

I see that 011 is set up for ac2. Is that how you are dialing it? I mean are you using that translator? Have you tried logging in with a maintenance set and snagging one of the trunks? What happens if you do?

Yes AC2 is used for the LD access code.

This is what I get when using the ACOD, 011 and the number. This should pass all BARS/NARS and go straight out the trunk to the provider.

DCH 8 UIPE_OMSG CC_SETUP_REQ REF 0000039C CH 8 23 TOD 10:14:34 CK 29A9E3F8

CALLED #:499472834001 NUM PLAN: E164 TON: INTL

It looks to me like 011 is not being inserted into the dial string even though is it being dialed and if I insert it through the DMI it does not seem to make a difference.

This is with DMI 0 still get the same recording (no change)

Make sure the Telco has it set up to allow international calls

The telco said they are not blocking anything. Why would 011 not show up in the dial string of the called number? It seems to me that without it the telco does not know that I am trying to make an international call. I am thinking this is where the problem is. ???

What I mean is, they might say its there, but does not mean it is there, have them check all their programming set up to be sure. You might have to do head to head testing with them so they can monitor whats going out. The fact that you got a recording would indicate you are getting to the telco, I would definitely put it back on them. Dial again, making note of time and date and write down the message you get including numbers at the end if they are there. Present this to the telco and ask what they see from that call.

I will talk to them again. I have encountered many times that it is never their fault until you prove it to them or it just magically starts working.

The telco came out today and he was able to make international calls from the smart jack so it is not the telco.

Is there somewhere that would not allow 011 to be dialed or strip it? I have checked IDC tables and there is nothing in there that would do it.

Just curious, what happens if you dial AC1 and the international #?
