Hi there,

I have some folders here that were extracts from an xbox homebrew game I tried. I can't delete the folders and windows gives me the error saying it cannot delete the folder because it can't read from the disk. First I thought it was the HD but then saw there is a space after the last character of the folder name. I remember reading a long time ago that you could glitch windows into nameing a folder with an invalid character and you could still navigate to the folder but you couldn't do anything to it, that's what I have here. I tried a program calle invdelfile which says it will delete invalid files in windows. When I try and delete the folder it says the folder does not exist, now I know it's because there's an invalid character in the foldername because that was the trick, windows can't really see it but it shows it in explorer. I've tried knoppix and dos without success.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

ErikHertzel gives some pretty good tools you can try. Unlocker worked for me.

Just an idea: have you tried to RENAME the folder first?
