Can't create a new batch 1

I can't create a new batch in any module. I have recently done a Data Dump into the default file location & copied that info onto a disk for a backup. Since then when I try to open a new batch I get the following error message:

Database error(operation=UPDATE, error=46)

Any solutions?
 
I'm assuming this is on Pervasive.
Error 46 is access denied. You have read only access to the database files, something is locking the files.
Restart the server and try again.

On a side note, doing a database dump as part of your backup is not a good idea. There are many cases where the dump files cannot be loaded again and then you have a worthless 'backup'. Stick to backing of the data files.
 
Thank you ettienne. Somehow the Data folder was turned to 'Read Only'. I corrected this and things are working again :)
