Using Crystal 8.5 with SQLServer via ODBC.
- I have a subreport with a date in the detail line and in that report I changed the Report Options to convert Date-Time to Date successfully - and can therefore use Select Expert on a date parameter.

I've done exactly the same in the main report (the date field is on the detail line but from a different table). I've changed the Report Options as before, but it has had no effect. Can anyone shed light on this, please?

Are you sure the field on the main report is a DateTime datatype ?

If you place the mousepointre over teh filed on the report, CR should popup the field name and datatype.

Definitely a DateTime field. So is the one in the sub-report - I also checked their their properties in SQL Enterprise Manager Design screen and they are identical.

I've had another thought - don't know if it's relevant? The 'working' date field is from a leading table. The non-working one is from the third in a string of three tables - all equal links.

More info - if I start a new report with this table only, the conversion ToDate works fine. It must be to do with it being on the third linked table ???????
