i have a hipath 4000 v2 pabx in office , my problem is that
we must have a PC outside the site to administrate the hipath , i have use a modem v24 dial up connection with a rtcp line but can't connect with the equipement , i heard the ring during the connection but nothing else
remarque : i have verifie the too modem , one connected to a v24 to the pabx and the one on my pc , the line is also ok
can any one help me and explaine me the necessary of a like coonection ; i.e ppp dial up connection

after reflection i decide to abort the idea to change th PDA
for reason :
if i get a row of ### (after deactivating and activating line 9) thats mean that i'm really connected on RMX, the connection is correctly estabilished then the interface v24 in ADP is not HS
other thing stronge happens yesterday night i have found a one cdr trame for a call done this night

That's right. You have to decide if you have a CDR problem or a V24 problem. The #### are a good start but you said you couldn't run any AMO's on line 9 and you should be able to. However this may be a cabling problem.

I wouldn't bother with the CDR problem until I had the AMO's running on line 9 - that's a problem that needs to be solved.

If the V24 is fine but there is no CDR output you could try a soft restart on the switching unit, exe-rest:unit,bp,soft; and it will switch processors to the other side.

You could check your CDR settings in FEASU and FEACG but they are probably OK if this was working before.

I don't know if you restarted the ADP with the reset button, AMO or powered it off, but you could give the ADP a power off reload if your problems persist.

It's an easy job to switch the ADP and BPB DPC5's but it probably isn't necessary. A soft restart on the SWU and a power off reload of the ADP might bear more fruit.

i'm in process to change a DPC5 BOARD
before turn off the shelf we must deactivate the ADP
please what is the AMO code to deactivate

until this instant the system is OK CDR's outgoing and are correct
I didn't change the PDC5 board ,all what i do is to invert the mini switch in front of the ADP board to synchrone mode
(V24 interface ) and i return them to asynchrone mode in result CDR trames appears
I'm trying to understand what was happens exactly , but it is looks a problem of ADP clock
the system is ok
really verry thanks Moriendi

I wouldn't expect that switch to have any effect on line 9, what you've said makes no sense. Changing line 8 to sync then back to async again, especially if you previously restarted that processor anyway....ah well, it's results that count.

If you need to deactivate the disc to swap the DPC5 at a later date, it's dea-dssm:a1,1; Remember to shutdown the Unix from UBA as well. Newer DSSM AMO's have a "unixshut" parameter in them, so it's dea-dssm:A1,1,,yes; (two commas I think), and that shuts down the unix as well. I think though that DSSM amo is not in UV1.0, your software level. Try it anyway.

After the disc is deactivated turn off the power (both sides of the processor shelf, one switch on each side, usually marked as A1 or ADP) as the DPC5 is not hot swappable. You can turn off the power to the standby BP half as well, and swap the two processors. Don't forget the jumpers on the DPC5 will need checking.
