Okay, i'm at the end of my mental rope here. My home computer will not connect to the internet (HTTP) with firefox or IE7. I can however connect to HTTPS and FTP sites. I have three other computers on the network that are all working fine (2 XP and 1 Mac). I have double checked my network. I may have taken a power hit a week ago, i replaced my hub, and have restarted / reconfigured my 2-wire AT&T DSL modem. I have McAfee SecurityCenter 8 (virus/firewall/privacy service) I have disabled all funtionality of McAfee, still no luck.
All other network services appear to be functioning normally on the home computer (Ping, Outlook (not express), messenger, automatic updates for multiple apps, Google Earth, etc.. I can't seem to find any other service that is traversing the network that isn't working)
It appears that packets are leaving but getting blocked inbound. The browser will continue displaying "waiting for response".
Where do i go from here?
