Hello all,

Strange problem here Im hoping someone can assist with. I have a windows 2003 R2 server with all updates and patches. I created a share on the server which i can connect to from any machine from within an operating system. However I can not map a drive to this share using a network bootdisk, but I can map a drive to any other server share using this network boot disk. I am connected to the network boot disk with the same credentials I am using within windows. This is quite strange. The only service the server is running is WSUS and a drive on our SAN which is where the share is located.

Any ideas?

Other servers are a combination of 2000 and 2003. I can connect to the 2003 servers fine as well...everything but this one and the configurations are the same as they are built from images. Both server and client signing is set for disabled.

It may be related to kerberos authentication. I am not sure how you have your server setup. Also, try using <domain>\<userid> combination. I usually have issues also but found this combination of domain\userid works. Please keep in in mind that my network is mixed with window2003 and windows 2000 (domain) network.
