When trying to test the option within the Windows ODBC/DSN options I get this error:

'[SYBASE][ODBC Sybase driver]Invalid attribute in connection string: Description.[Sybase][ODBC Sybase driver][SYBASE]ct_connect(): network packet layer: internal net library error: unable to find an available protocol driver structure'

I have tried reinstalling Symposium and Crystal with no luck, any ideas? I seem to be going backwards with this Symposium reporting !!!!!

Solved problem using info from this thread below. Created new DSN, DSEdit server entry etc, now works :eek:)

==========================================================

1. Install ODBC and Sybase open Client ( are installed automatically during SCCS Client installation)
2. Configure a Sybase server entry
- run dsedit … ServerObject . . Add ..Server Name …
- Server adress . . TCP = CLAN,5000 i.e. 172.35.159.30,5000
- ping server . . OK
3. Define the DNS
- run odbcad32.exe . . system DSN . Blue . . Add Sybase ASE ODBCDriver . . Finish
- Data Source Name, Data Server Name the same like in 2.
- Test connect . . . Login ID & Password for SympClient . . . OK

Two things to look for:

1. In C:\Program Files\Nortel Networks\Symposium Call Center Server\SqlIni\ini\sql.ini there is an entry called [ICCM_PREVIEW]. Where it says $BASE$00=NLWNSCK,ICCM_Server,5000 change ICCM_Server to the IP address of your Symposium server.

2. In the ODBC config of the ICCM_PREVIEW_DSN, click on the connection tab and make sure the following is in the Interfaces File field: C:\Program Files\Nortel Networks\Symposium Call Center Server\SqlIni\ini\sql.ini
