Hi,
I have One-X loaded on a server, works fine except:
On the internal LAN:
I can open a web browser and go to and i get a login screen and can login.
However, if I go to i get a "web page not available".
Same "web page not available" with DNS is setup correctly, both servername.xyz.com and servername resolve to 192.168.4.1

This almost sounds like a host header issue?
I don't see in One-x admin where I can tell tomcat to answer to something other than the ip address?
thanks,
ds

Did you set the hostname within one-x portal?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

The XMPP domain is already set, I don't see where to set the host name?
I looked thru help, it does reference setting host name on Linux, but this is windows.
thanks,
ds

I fixed it, but I am wondering if I missed something during setup?
Do people not normally access the admin/user page in One-x using a name or does everyone just use the IP?

To fix:
open C:\Program Files (x86)\Avaya\onexportal\Tomcat\Server\conf\server.xml in notepad.
AFTER <Host name="localhost" appBase="webapps" unpackWARs="true" autoDeploy="true">
and BEFORE </Host> add
<Alias>yourservername.domainname.com</Alias>
(if you dont want FQDN use put <Alias>yourservername</Alias> )
RESTART 'Avaya one-X Portal forIP Office' service.

Example:
<Host name="localhost" appBase="webapps" unpackWARs="true" autoDeploy="true">
<Alias>yourservername.domainname.com</Alias>
</Host>

all of the <!-- ... --> stuff is comments, dont put Alias in a comment.

You have to login into One-X Portal and login ad admin.
Go to confoguration -> IM/Presence and change the field XMPP domain name.
Restart the One-X service and you are good to go.

XMPP is and has been already set, it works.
I think issue is due to server not having same name as the name I am using for the XMPP domain.
On a server with matching XMPP domain name and sever name it's working fine.

Yes they need to be the same.
