When I try to open a newly received email I get an error message stating "There was an error opening this message. An error has occured." I get the same error message when I try to open a message box simply to compose mail. Is my OE 6.0 corrupted? What's the fix?

Sounds to me like you should re-install IE6, or get sp6.1. If you already have the latest then windows update will tell you it's already installed and kick you out of the installation. You will then need to download all the installation files into a folder on your pc and install from there to overwrite the existing copy.
Tried updating to the most recent. Next on the list is to totally uninstall OE and reinstall (had too many other problems today to keep working on that one). How is the Address book involved?? How can the address book be removed or re-installed??
