We have a Nortel CS1000 and I've run into a strange problem with a set of four 2004p1 IP phones. Yesterday I was alerted to a problem where a person could not receive/make calls to random extensions. If someone called their extension it would just continue to ring and if the user called out it would immediately go to "Release and try again." After looking into it I realized that it was isolated to a set of four virtual TNs in the same loop. This specific set of four TNs can only make/receive calls from extensions that are programmed onto one of the four TNs. For instance, the number 8065 and 8057 are on different TNs in that loop. Those two can call each other with no issues but calling 8124 (which is not on the loop) just goes to a fast busy.
I'm at a loss for this one. I had not made any changes to the system when it happened and my telco provider was troubleshooting a different issue on our system but says that he made no changes. Any ideas on what may have caused this or what can be done to alleviate the issue?
Thanks
