I seem to be having an issue.

Originally I changed the extension on a 2008 set. I was able to dial out, dial in fine. I but I could no longer dial out to 1-800/888/866 numbers it looks like..

Prior to the extension change I wasn't able to do it.

After I just used 'out' on the TN and copied a 2008 set that does allow me to dial out to 1-800..

But still same thing, when I try to dial out to 1800.. it just responds with a busy signal.

Any ideas?

*prior to the change I was able to do it.

all I did was key 00 scr extension

Check NCOS and TGAR against a known working set and make the non working set the same values.
And just to be sure ... you are dialling 9 (or whatever your access code is)in front of it??

The NCOS/TGAR is the same as a working set.

I am dialing 9 before i dial-out.

I don't know how useful this is, but here's the TNB of a working and non working set.

Change it to:

Not sure if this is an issue, but try it and see.

Some provider will not accept an ivalid CLID when you call 800 numbers. Let's say you are sending more than 10 or less digits they will reject the call. Check your CLID tables.

- The 2/3 is for the first 3 numbers before the extension. (ie. having 2 means the phone number is 234-5050, having 3 means it's 238-5050)

- Can you let me know how to check/what im looking for? I'm not too familiar with this system.

Thanks

This will print your caller id tables for 1 2 3 and so on.
2 must be setup wrong, that the carrier is rejecting the call.

I know what they are for, DOCVIC explained what I was alluding to above. I just wanted you to change it temporarily and test and see if it worked. That way you would know if the set up is correct or not.

Sorry it was a mistake on my end, apparently "2" has no profile set to it.
