I just set up a w2k test server. I can easily connect to it from my w2k client station, but I cannot connect to the network with the w98SE workstation. I can ping the server, but I cannot browse the network at all. I don't get an error message during login. The proper domain name shows up on the login screen. I also turned on WINS to see if that was the problem, but still no luck. What am I missing?

Can't browse w2k server network with w98SE client

Do you have the guest account enabled on the win2k computer? If not that could be your problem.

I got it workinng. I don't have login scripts, so I had to map a drive connection to the appropriate folder on the server. I guess win98 won't browse the network under network neighborhood like w2k will. Once I mapped the drives, everything worked fine.
