Can't backup one specific rel.9 3300

Trying to backup a specific 3300 that is still release 9.0 and it hangs on the needs Java to . Tried different laptops tc. no luck. Was going to try the software installer tool but don't see how I can do just a backup without an upgrade. Does anyone know how I can try a backup with the software installer without an upgrade or any other thoughts on why I can't back up this one controller. I have uploaded the java patch to the 3300 it has also been rebooted. Trying to do an upgrade to an MXeIII but without a backup it won't be much fun.

Run the software installer and connect as normal and on the screen that comes up with what to do tick backup and set a directory on your laptop to backup to. Use the full install setting. Untick everything else and it should just do the backup and stop

to backup using Installer tool

Choose Full Install

leave Backup option on and select c:/path/filename
Turn off all other options

[li]Upgrade - off[/li]
[li]Install Help Files - off[/li]
[li]License and options - off[/li]
[li]Restore - off[/li]
[/ul]

Proceed but verify that you are only doing a backup before starting on final page.

Full Install was the key when I chose upgrade earlier it forced me to want to install the upgrade but the Full Install allows you to unselect everything else.
