Hi All.

I am having a trouble with backing up my BCM.

I have created a new backup schedule, using the ip address of my computer I wish the backup on. I have verified that I can ping this address.

I created a new administrator account for this purpose, and verified that the folder that this is to go into is a shared folder. The backup fired just fine, and I have a backup in it.

To backup to the customer server, I have another backup schedule.
I can ping the server. I have verified my username and password assigned by the server tech, got into the directory I am supposed to backup to, and ensured I have write access by creating a text file and saving it there.

However when I test my backup connection with the test button it fails. The server tech has assured me that he has set everything properly for my authenticated user.

Any ideas as to why I can't back up to the Network Folder?

Regards

I ran into a similar issue.
It turned out that the credentials were fine.
And the backup ran perfectly.
When I saved and closed the schedule. And open it again.
It will pass the test button.

Do you have the file location of where the backup is to go set to shared. This is a common issue that techs forget to do. The folder must be shared.
