For some reason, I can no longer add domain global groups using the Security Rights (Manage Users) wizard. I can still add individual user ID's, but not groups. I enter them in the standard DOMAIN\ID format, but I get the following error message:
"SMS is unable to verify that the name you entered is an existing Windows NT user or user group. This may be because the name indicates a local group, or because no such user or user group exists, or because the specified domain cannot be contacted."
Yes, I am careful with the spelling and I even make sure the case is the same, but no luck. I cannot figure out why it can verify user ID's, but not global group ID's. I added them in the past, albeit probably a year or more ago.
My setup is SMS 2.0 SP3 running on a Windows 2000 SP2 server in a Windows NT 4.0 domain.
