Cant Access Voicemail remotely with I-Phone 1

I have a customer with a 7.1 CICS and a 2.0 Callpilot100. When a user calls in on a brand new 3G I-Phone he gets his voicemail recording but when he presses (* *) it dissconnects him from the system. He hears "Exiting the system Goodbye". If he presses star once it goes to the AA as it should. I had him try pressing star slower and making sure he did it before the beep and I had no luck. I tried it with my friends I-phone and it worked fine.

Any Ideas?

My information must be wrong because I know the MICS and the voicemail were upgraded at the same time like a year ago. It must be 3.0 or higher. This only happens with this one users phone. There are no issues with any other I phones or any other cell phones.

Who is the cell phone provider for the i-phone? Is it AT&T or is i another provider?
 
Last but not lease, check with the Co provider and make sure they are not sending a extra * . digit gabber would tell you.
