I have Win XP, and do not see the Remote Desktop option under Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Communications. All I have is HyperTerminal. How do I get the Remote Desktop option back?

- Joe

No, I have XP Pro. I can get to the remote desktop by going to Start -> Run -> mstsc.exe but I can not get to it from the menu.

- Joe

Create a new shortcut on your desktop, and then drag it onto your start menu.

Right click on desktop, select New, Select Shortcut, type MSTSC in the box and click next.

Got it. Thanks. Amazing all the stuff one can still learn about XP, all these years later. I still don't know why or how the remote desktop program disappeared from the program menu.

Truly Appreciated!
- Joe

And for the record, the Remote Desktop client is included with XP Home & is located in the start menu location that survivorjoe mentions.
