can't access our website

greetings!

cant access our website (

http://www.company.com)

after promoting to dc

our website is hosted on our isp. i just use absolute ftp to update the pages. here are some notes in connecting to the isp

hostname -

http://www.company.com

username - username
password - password

in promoting the server to dc i used the name company.com
all went well, including setup of domain users,folders, etc

all can surf the net except our website. i tried pinging our

http://www.company.com

and it replies but the ip address is the local lan ip of the server.

help

Have you tried adding a DNS record pointing

http://www to

the isp address for your website?

Go into DNS Manager and to your domain name and add a Host Record name "

http://www"

and give it the IP address for your ISP.

Hi,

I have this problem aswell with a client of ours.

I have looked into DNS but am unsure as what type of record to ADD, also it doesnt allow me to put dots in the name field. Where should i be putting the website address?
