I am running windows 2000 server and exchange 2000 server and Isa Server all on one server. I am using sonicwall vpn client to establish a connection I am able to ping the server but can't use outlook to open email.

PLEASE HELP

How are you connecting to it, with POP3/IMAP or with a Microsoft Exchange ("corporate") configuration? Where in the process are you getting the error in Outlook?

I am using microsoft exchange 2000 server. I am getting prompted to enter username password and domain and when i enter information i get error message saying the information i entered is incorrect but i know it is correct.

Check to make sure that the firewall is permitting ESMTP traffic, as you have to allow that in order to authenticate to the Exchange server.

Make sure VPN services in the SonicWall are available (Ports 1723 and 500) and are headed to the right zone (DMZ or LAN). Then make sure the rules are ok. Sonicwall has a habit of modifying your rules as it sees fit.

Also, in the properties of your rules, make sure your VPN connections ALLOW FRAGMENTED packets. There is a checkmark you must turn on in the properties of each VPN rule. That's how it worked on my Sonicwall.
