Canon mp600 or Canon mp 810 printer?

Want a new printer and considering Canon mp600 or Canon mp810. Prefer the 810 because of better print and scan quality. Problem is with its size. One reviewer described the 810 as a behemoth and much bigger than the 600. Is it that large?

To me the 810s dimensions doesn't seem much bigger than the 600s. About 1" greater in dimensions and 4.2 lbs heavier. Anyone familiar with these printers?

If the 810 will fit into your working space, then go for it.

i have an mp530 and i love it, but it's big.. have you seen the 600? just add an inch to each dimension for it... I imagine if it fits you won't regret it.

I've seen both Canon MP 600 and MP 810 printers side-by-side at WC Apple Store.
They appear the same, except 810 is an inch taller. Probably to hold the negative/slide scanner components (extra light strip, 35 mm and slide holders).
If you can live with one, you can live with the other!

My questions are:
How to scan 110 film negatives?
I've been told that I could make a film holder (cut-out of cardboard or magnetic plastic material) that would fit/sit inside of the 35 mm holder. Has anyone done this with success?

Is the extra about $130 in cost worth it for the negative/slide features (and slight more power?)?
FYI, until July 25? 2007, Apple is rebating $100 from some printers if purchased when buying a Mac computer. So the MP 810 ends up costing $200 and the 600 ends up $80.
