Silly me...
Does anyone know if this model will scan COLOR? I know it doesnt print color, but if i scan an image and email it, should it not be in color? Im getting scanned and emailed images in B&W.

tanx in advance.

As you have correctly observed, the scanned output is b&w only. Since the device doesn't print color and the scanner portion is primarily designed to input information for the printer section (a "copier" function), it would have been outside of the standard design to use a scanner (& software) that would interpret color. We have this machine and a Toshiba of similar spec. and they both work the same. It's easy to get confused, when you look at the capabilities of inexpensive desktop printer/copiers that are in color when you want it!

yah go figure, my $50 scanner at home works great....

We have an older IR, and similarly it scans in B&W only.

Where is scores is scanning both sides of document at about 10ppm straight into Acrobat.
