I am having problems printing. The Red and Yellow Contacts aren't working. I've cleaned the heads, changed the cartridges and updated my printer drivers. It now only prints Black/Bue(Cyan). I can't seem to figure out whats wrong with it. I have come to the conlusion that the red and yellow contacts (i dont know their proper name) just don't function. I was wondering if anyone has any input on this situation because I kinda need it up and running within the next 3 days, and I'm broke so... buying a new printer is outta the question. Any input/suggestions would be greatly appreceated.

Thanks in advance.

I took a look at the Canon Site for info....not very productive...and although you state that you have cleaned the heads and replaced the cartridges...you may want to run this test anyway. I say this because, even though you know the cartridges are full...the printer may tell you it thinks they are empty..during the test. This will help in further diagnosing the issue.

Let me know...after you run the test...what the results were?

I think the heads we're just extremely clogged. I'm bleeding out all the ink as we speak with rubbing alcohal and it seems to be doing ok. Then I dry it out and run like a million head cleaning routines and I've got all the colors flowing through now, but the quality is not so good. When red prints out it prints out in red/yellow lines. I think after I've completely bled out the ink, run it through a few more head cleaning routines, everything should be ok. All I have to do now is play with the software settings. Canons are not so great. Well atleast the BJC- series. If you have any suggestions other than the usual update drivers etc... to get the red to print out correctly I'd welcome them. Thanks for your help regardless, it's much appreceated.
