cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet

hello,
I am really stuck and not sure what to do...I have just bought a asp.net 2.0 book for beginners and upon creating a page and trying to view i get get this message:-

Cannot view XML input using XSL style sheet.
The XML page cannot be displayed

A name was started with an invalid character. Error processing resource '

http://paul/fornext.aspx'.

Line 1, Position 2

<%@ Page Explicit="true" Language="VB" Debug="true" %>

so I got a copy of Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition and write files trhough that but it then opens up a port in order to show my files in a browser window?!?!

Thus I turn for your advice, can you help me resolve this, I am stuck!

Try with IE settings first...
Tools->Internet Options-Security tab
Goto Custom Settings-Miscellaneous-Access datasources across domains.

yeah i've tried that security approach before, i think i found that solution on google after a little search, but it didnt really do anything to help at all ....

... more suggestions needed please!?

Not exactly sure what you're trying to do but you might be able to use a dataset to read your XML Schema. Then put the data in the dataset and save the xml file.
