I was recently given a few Type 1 fonts to be used in a page layout job but the fonts preview jagged on screen. I have both the screen and the print files.

I was told that using ATM which comes with the mac OS will cure this but I can't get it to become active. I select it in the extensions manager, restart and it remains disabled. I opened its control panel, turned it on, restart and after reboot it still remains disabled. Why is this happening?? How can I enable it?

What version of the Mac OS are you using?

OS 9.1 on a G4 450 Mac with 1.5 Gig of RAM

Go to and download ATM, you probably have an older or corrupt version.
Best of luck.
