I downloaded 2 vmpro IPO Server Edition R9.0 logs that I would like to view from my desktop and not the web interface. I downloaded 7-zip and extracted the contents in the tar.gz files. The two files I have are as follows:

core.vmpro.5505 and info.txt
core.vmpro.9814 and info.txt

Is there a utility that can view these files? I tried notepad and no luck. Or am I missing something?
Any advice if this is possible or not would be helpful...thanks

Doc info: (not very clear)

Downloading the log files
The system archives the log files of the applications in .tar.gz format in the Debug Files
section.
About this task
To download the log files using Web Control:
Procedure
1. Select Logs > Download.
The system displays the files that you need for debugging in the Debug Files
section and log files in the Logs section.
2. Click the file to download.
Note:
The process for the download and the location to which the system downloads
the files depends on the browser that you use to access the Web Control.

Thanks,

You better tell why you need to have these logs?
What is the problem?

tlpeter, voicemail went down on its own, logged into the web interface and showed red alarm on vm pro - service showed stopped. Started service and everything started working again. Trying to sort through debug viewer in web interface is not ideal. Was hoping to export logs to notepad to use keyword searches. In any case on a windows box we can set a service to restart on first failure, second failure and subsequent failure (in the event of application failure). Is there a way to do this on server edition (Linux)?

The logs have already been extracted from the tar.gz files - however these are unfamiliar file extensions, not sure what can view these or are they only for Avaya?

Which software version is it running?
There are some versions with this problem.

9.0.1.0 Build 845 - IPO
9.0.1.0 Build 53 - VMPro

Virtual or on a hardware server?
We run this version virtual but we do not have this problem.

its a physical server - going to try and find out how to open these log files - if I find out ill repost. The answer lies within!

Login to the webinterface and set the voicemail logs to verbose.
First delete the current logs.
When it has happened again create new logs.
Then download the voicemail log.
