Hey guys, this is very strange problem I have, but last week, I switched web hosting companies, and now I cannot view my site on the new host in my browser. My browser(s) still try to access the old host IP address. This shouldn't be. No matter how many times I refreash, dump cache, delete cookies, delete history and all that, still cannot see it. Is it something in my registry perhaps? I can see my site find on my laptop and other people see it fine, but not me. Any ideas?

Other problems are if I try to type a specific page in my browser on my site, I get casino sites or homes for sale sites. Is it a virus? I did a check last night and found nothing.

(my site is and no I'm not promoting it, just giving it as the example)

What I see it a "Admin control page" for my OLD host.

Not sure. This a guess but in the Windows folder is there a file called HOSTS with no extension? (Not Hosts.sam) If so rename it to GHOSTS and then try the site.

Thanks Kento! It wasn't quite that file name, but I did a search on my computer for anything called HOSTS and it pulled up a few files (about 8 or so). I deleted one that was in my documents and settings that had the name of my old host in it (was a cookie) and also found a few HOSTS files, so renamed them to GHOSTS as you suggested. I had sent the others to the trash can and tried my site, still with no success. Once I flushed my can, I tried again to go to my site and it worked like a champ! Thanks again as that was driving me nuts!

Actually a well-implement HOSTS file CAN speed up the browser when returning to frequently accessed sites...and block ads from the multiple sites that generate them.
(seemingly wouldn't be news to kento)
