Hi,

How do you set-up Outlook 2000 to view images in the preview pane? I have looked through microsoft help, web titorials and they all seem to refer to menu options or tabs that don't exist! I can see images in my email program but one of my clients cannot and thus has to open an attachment. This is not making me look good(!)

Any help would be most appreciated

Thx

Is it the same e-mail that you can see the image but the other person can't? Really you should only be able to images in HTML formatted mail in the preview pane in Outlook 2000. Messages with attachments written in RTF or plain text will not show in the preview pane but would have to open the attachment.

The exception is if the RTF message has an embedded image rather than an attachment (in other words the author just pasted the image to the RTF message) but that would not be the best way of sending messages with images.

If you are comparing the exact same message and it is in HTML format than you may want to look at IE as that is what Outlook uses to display HTML messages. joegz

Hi again,

Thanx for the suggestions - sorry I should have been a bit more specific. We are both viewing the EXACT same email. The email is HTML format which includes jpgs. My client doesn't get the jpgs attached, he gets the WHOLE HTML email as an attachment. That's one blank email with the HTML email as an attachment. Is this a setting in his mail client? Or a problem with the e-mail itself??

Please help!
