Cannot use Dir Call Pickup of call ringing Cov Ans Grp

CM 6.0 - Have a DID Main # that is routed in Inc Trunk Handling to a Hunt Group which has a cover path (point 1 is a Cov Ans Grp, containing 7 physical stations). Incoming calls ring simultaneously on all phones in Cov Ans Grp correctly.

Another phone (not in Cov Ans Grp) wants to pick up call ringing on that group of phones. User enters Dir Call Pkup FAC, followed by station in the Cov Ans Grp, and gets busy. Trace on phone trying to p/u shows "busy". He gets dialtone after FAC, but slow busy tone when entering ext.

Have also tried a phantom station in that group, doesn't work, and also picking up hunt group ext. All CORS and Sys Par Fea allow Dir Call-Pickup, and feature works fine when picking a call is ringing on a phone (not in Cov Ans Grp scenario).

I have often put an external bell (with other exts) in a Cov Ans Grp, and anybody able to p/u call with FAC + bell ext can get the call, what is different in this situation?

Have you created pick up groups for the users type "li Pick"
to see what pick up groups are created, then either change a pickup group "ch pick **" or add one with the stations you need "add pick **" , if that does not resolve let me know.
