I need to reinstall Office 2000 to which all available service packs have been applied, but whenever I try to either install or uninstall it, I get the message that the corrective package does not exist and Icannot continue.

It is not a problem of access rights, as it is being done as an administrator.

I have tried all the suggestion already made here, namely deleting all the office files and rebooting, and also running the eraser2k utility. Still have the problem.

I suspect there are some key registry entries that are still around, or perhaps some other files, but I have no idea which.

Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Try deleting the program files folder and/or the registry entries!
