Cannot Transfer or Conference on 5420 phones 1

Hi

Have a IPO 412 v3.1(48) with primarily 6408 and 6416 handsets. These work fine. However, we are trying a few 5420s and cannot get them to transfer or conference calls. They have the v4 FW.

I have tried programming soft buttons, different handsets, different locations, all with no luck. It seems to be either a system or wiring issue. Any ideas?

Please confirm that the 54XX handsets have more than 1 call apperance key otherwise you will have these sorts of problems

That's it. I put a 2nd apperance back on and everything is happy now.

The default is 3 call appearances and there is a command (RESERVE_LAST_CA in the user's source numbers) to keep that one free for transfers, etc.
