Cannot start Database Engine

I get the following error message when trying to start the database engine in ArcServe version 6.61.

***Failed to start database engine (0).

Also if I try to open the ARCSERVEIT Manager I get the following error message.

ASMGR.EXE
Entry point not found. Procedure entry point
ExtUniTSIMediaServerInDeviceSharingMode could not be loaded in the dynamic link library UNIVTSI.DLL.

Any idea what to do about these messages. We used to have ARCSERVE on an old server we uninstalled it and reinstalled it last night to our new server but I am getting these two error messages and I won't know if it is backing anything up until I come in on Monday.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I really need to be able to get into the ARCSERVE manager to be able to view, modify and schedule my jobs.

HI,

Uninstall ARcserve .. clear any folders associated with it.

clear out the "ComputerAssociates" registry key, if you dont have any other CA producrts on that server.
If you have aother products... delete the ARCServeIT key
reinstall arcserve.
