cannot spell check in outlook express

Hi, i cannont speel check in outlook express, at all. the spell check item in the tools menu is greyed out, and there is no spelling tab in the options. does anybody know the fix for this, ive got all the updates, so version 6.0 etc.

If I remember correctly, the spelling checker requires parts of Microsoft Office to be installed in order to work.

Microsoft says the following about an older version of OE...so it may still apply.

"Outlook Express uses the spelling checker provided with the following Microsoft Office
>programs: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft PowerPoint. If you do not
>have one of these programs installed, the Spelling command is not available."

Did it work before? Or is this something new? Kimber
