Cannot Signon to Merlin Legend Mail 007 MLM 1

I am trying to install the 007 MLM card into a Legend CKE5 system but am not able to sign on as administrator.

I have specified the extensions that it recognizes to be in group 770. Group 770 is setup as a linear hunt group and is integrated VMI.

When I dial 770 from an MLX phone (from the known extension) it just rings and doesn't pickup.

Can anybody please assist me in this endeavor? Thank you,

do you have the right vm ports in the hunt group?

goto maintanance, port, station, enter *sspp and see what the extension numbers are and then make sure they are in the hunt grp as members.

I put the extensions assigned to the VM card in group 770, if that's what you mean.

I don't follow what you mean by *sspp.

instead of entering the extension number enter example:

*0105
the 01 is the slot number and 05 is the port that will tell you what the extension number is for a specific port. instead of trying to figure it out. this will tell you if you have the right ports in the vm group.


the mlm 007 has 2,4 or 6 ports, the 7th port is the modem for remote access by modem so to find out which extensions they are you goto maint and enter *, the slot number of the card and the ports in order of 01, 02 etc...


match those to what you have in the calling group for members to see if you have the right ports, also if it's not answering then maybe the vm card is dead? try calling the ports seperate and see if they answer as well.

I was able to verify the extensions I added to group 770 were in fact the ports on the 007 MLM card.

Just to be safe I verified all the settings of group 770. Set to linear hunt, integrated VMI, and re-added the ports on the 007 MLM...and still nothing.

I get a green status light on the card, but am starting to doubt that everything is truly ok in that card.

Please advise if you have any other advice, tips, or tricks.

dial the vm extensions to see if they answer at all., if they don't you may have a bad card.

I did that as well to no avail. I am starting to come to the same conclusion.
