cannot send mail from ie6 file menu or send to in the drop down menu

in me the send to mail recipient vanished which i restored as a .mapimail file. although it now appears in the send to folder and the drop down menu it won't open outlook express.
niether can i send files ie. web pages or links directly from the file menu on internet explorer. what is wrong?
help appreciated as i have now spent about 6 hours trying to find the solution on the net.

Not to worry, found out myself.
Anyone with the same probelem goto

Click the link for Window Me, then the link for oe client.
download the zip file and run the registry setup program....
all will be well again.
