Hi,

We are part of a corporate Windows 2000 AD domain. Last week we changed the numbering scheme from a 192.168.70.x network to a 10.2.100.x network. Since the change we can no longer see any other machines from any other sites in the domain when browsing the network with Windows Explorer. We have a DC here on site and are using DNS and WINS.

Any ideas please??

Thanks.

By sites I assume you mean offices connected by routers. If so did you change the routing tables on the routers to see the new 10.2.100.X network? Did you change the IP addresses out at the sites?

Hi,

Yes. All IPs on router were changed and communication between sites is working fine. I can ping other machines on ther sites. If I browse computers under under Directory in Network places I can see other machines or if I run a search for machines in other sites it can find them no problem. Its just when I go to browse the domain under Microsoft Windows network, I can only see all machines for this local site here. I am think that it might have something to do the borwsers bening unable to retrieve list from borwsers in other sites proparly but I dont know howe to check this??

Thanks

What is your IP setup at the remote sites - DHCP or static? If DHCP, check the WINS server in the Scope Option. If you can UNC to the remote machines TCP/IP - DNS is fine.
