Cannot run two device installations 1

Hi, getting the following message when trying to install new hardware :

Cannot run two device installations

You can install only one device at at time.
Another device installation is underway, when its finished you can try this wizard again.

this is XP home edition.

Tried in safe mode, and checking nothing is running, and msconfig settings, but to no avail.

Any ideas?

a prefious installation may not have completed. try to remove both, and install one at a time. make sure you install the driver for each, so each one is complete.

Hi, thanks but they are no previous installations running. I have checked everthing, including checking msconfig and searching the whole task manager processes but nothing!
