Cannot run .msc files 1

Can any one help..

If I do Start-->Administrative Tools-->Services, I get this error dialog saying: "Windows cannot open this file: 'services.msc'"

However, if I go Start-->My Computer--> Manage and click on services, that opens up alright..

Many other ".msc" files will not open...

Have a look at File Types in Folder Options and make sure MSC has Microsoft Common Console Document next to it and in the Details for "MSC" below that list of files it is set to open with Microsoft Management Console. If not try clicking on a .msc file and use the Open With dialog to point it to mmc.exe in System32.

Sound like you could possibly have a malware infection which is blocking access.

Yep...opening with mmc.exe did it...
