Cannot restore older tape

Hey guys and gals,

I am trying to restore a tape from a year ago. I run the inventory and then catalog the tape. The log responds that "tape already catalogged" for each share. When I goto the restore window, there is nothing there!

Do I have to add the tape manually to the restore fields?

Not sure where to go. The catalogging takes over an hour to perform and it looks like the data should goto the catalog database, but no luck in the restore field.

Anyone else ever encounter this problem?

Is there a red x next to the restore point? Are you sure there was only one tape in in the backup set?

You might want to look in the catalog directory for the file for that tape and ensure that it is there. One option would be to delete it and then catalog the tape again
