Hi,

Just checking if anyoen of you has encounter this. I am performing a server recovery, and to my surprise nsr.res are not able to recover when i run mmrecov. There are no error message and all *.res files recovered successfully. When i went in /nsr/res.R there isn't any nsr.res. Any Idea?

I believe you have to let the server rename the recovered files, then stop the services. After the services are stopped, you can replace the files by renaming them to replace the old ones.

Hi rgzimmer,

What do you mean by "I believe you have to let the server rename the recovered files". Will the server rename the files by itself? What must i do? The problem is....i can't see the file named "nsr.res" in the res.R directory after the mmrecov process. Please comment.

If a file with the same name already exists, unless you have modified the default settings for the restore, you will be prompted for action on duplicate filenames. If you choose "rename the restored file" it will add a ~ to the front of the filename and truncate the last letter.

When using mmrecov it will create an nsr.R directory.
This is the recovered version.
To let Legato read them in first shutdown legato.
# mv nrs nsr.org
# mv nsr.R nsr

Restart Legato
