Cannot remove Norton Internet Security

I cannot remove Norton Internet Security from add/remove programs. It said I need to login as an administrator but I've never set up under an administrator. I think the Norton is corrupt. Any suggestions?

1. What OS are you running?
2. What user name are you using on the computer? Is that user a part of the administrators group?
3. Just want to rule this out, this isn't a password prompt to supply a password to remove the program?

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.

I reinstalled Norton and then was able to uninstall it. Thank you
