Cannot remove country code

I am using ACT Standard 8 and despite removing the tick in the "Always display country code ..." field, the code remains there. Any ideas?

I thought it might have been with imports but I just started a new data base from scratch and get the same thing.

Thanks for your help guys, I managed to sort things out although I don;t know how I did it. I have actually decided to revert to ver 6 because I am having more success getting Act to synchronise accurately with my combination of Act/Companionlink/Agendus

Ahhh... yeah, ACT!'s support for the Palm OS has dropped off considerably. Especially since even Palm are moving towards other operating systems in the new Treos.

Most of the ACT! guys at Sage now use Handheld Contact and either Blackberries or Mobile Windows devices.
