CANNOT RECEIVE EXTERNAL EMAIL AT ALL
here is a breakdown of what i have checked so far as the problem is still the same
server
w2k adv server op sys-sp3,ads, dns, exchange server 2k,

exchange recipient policy set, smtp connector set, email accounts set,smtp virtual server,queues are empty

router
static ip to all servers, ports 25 (smtp) & 80 (http) open, wan mac address set

ddns
ddns client installed (Dynamic ip) a records & mx records point to my ip address

ping
internal & external (internet) correct reply for myserver1.mydomain.com myserver2.mydomain.com

nslookup response from internal dns & external

telnet internal & external to connect to exchange service is correct

connections checked ethernet, modem and cables

i would really appreciate any advice or help from anyone at all.
 
Is your router (ie where all the internet packets hitting) set to forward all port 25 traffic to your exchange box?

port forwarding on port 25 is set (UP&P). i have also tested externally through the net using the telnet server.domain.com 25

I REALIZE IVE PASTED IN THE SAME DOC AS PREVIOUS
 
yes i have set it to forward on the mail servers internal static ip address
