Ok here is a good one to think about. I do IT work for a county I live near. A deputy was having trouble printing a picture of a prisoner from a government website. He can print images from other websites. He can log onto that website from another pc and print the image. All the other computers in the office can print the images from that website. If you look at the photo in print preview it shows a red x. If you hit print it prints everything but where the pic should be there is the red x. I have looked at the settings for IE all seem to be ok. He is running XP Pro. with IE6. All of the computers in the office have IE6.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried clearing the cookies and temporary Internet files from IE. Under the 'General' tab in the 'Internet Options' dialog box, delete Cookies, Files (as well as Offline Content), and clear the History. Then go back to the site and see if the image will show up when printed.

Have you tried to save the image? Maybe the site is setup to not allow downloads/printing of images(many sites with copyright do this-ie context menus are disabled etc).

I have cleared cookies, history offline as well. I have looked at both articles mentioned above...no help. the other computers in the office can print these pictures so I thought it might have to dowith what program the pc in question was using but it is the same as the others. I have not yet tried IE7 or Mozilla. I will try these and get back with you all.

Have you tried just with and from "Safe Mode with Networking" to see if any of the security software such as firewalls etc. is interfering with the download? Can you add the problem site to IE as a Trusted Site?

Is there another user able to logon in case this is a Profile problem?

The other computers that can print these images are behind the same firewall. I have not tried Safe mode, but I will as well as putting it in the Trusted Site.
