I figured I'd throw this out to see if anyone can help......

I cannot print from Internet Explorer. I keep getting the following error: res://c:\windows\system\shdoclc.dll/preview.dlg

I've done some research on the net and have come to the conclusion that my lepeers.dll file is outdated or corrupt. I have extracted a new one from my Wind98 CD and registed it, then ran the IE repair tool. The repair tool gave me an error message saying that lepeers.dll is not the correct version.

I **THINK** I need to either downgrade IE6 to IE5.5 or find a new lepeers.dll file for IE6, neither of which I know how to do....

Any help or suggestions??

I'm running Win98 with IE 6 installed.......

Thanks Carrr but unfortuantley I have already done that.

I **THINK*** the problem with that is that the verison of lepeers.dll on the win98 cd is older than what my current version of IE6 needs. That is why I'm thinking if I can downgrade to 5.5 from 6 then that might work, but I don't know how to downgrade from 6......

Bad news. IE 6.0 integrates so seamlessly that the only way to downgrade is to reformat your hard drive and reinstall your OS.

Thanks for the links carr, unfortuantley I've looked at that one too.

The only thing I can think of doing is removing the Iepeers.dll from my system, then try and reinstall IE6, i'm hoping that by reinstalling IE6 the correct Iepeers.dll file will be installed...

Here's a stretch, but...if your reinstall effort doesn't work...I'm running 6.0.2800.1106 with SP1. I've not had any problems. If you want, I can send you a copy of my iepeers.dll and you can try it.

Thank you Carr...I'm going to do some work tonight on it and if it doesn't work I may take you up on that offer. Thanks again!

Carr, I was working on my comp and I ran the internet tools one more time, I got an error and looked at the details and it said the following:

IEPEERS.dll 5.0.2614.3500 exsists, needs to be greater than 6.0.2600.0

If you wouldn't mind emailing me 6.0.2800.1106 that would be great and hopefully it will work, you can email the IEPEERS.DLL file anenstiel@att.net

Thanks again for the help!

Ok, I'm a dummy. I didn't make the connection that IEPEERS.DLL 6.0.2800.1106 is the version that is installed with SP1 for IE6 untill late last night. Actually I would of never made that connection if you Carr hadn't postd that you had SP1 with verison 6.0.2800.1106 installed. Downloaded and installed the SP1 from Microsoft and problem is fixed, I can print from IE!! Thanks for the help!!!
