Dear Friends:
I use Win 2000 Server and have HP LJ1200 on my server. I can print from the clients when they are logged in locally as power users or administrators, but not GUEST. Clients are Win XP Pro. Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

Does the guest have permission to the printer??

Besides, why would you want to a local guest account on your server?

Wishing you the best...

Mr. Meacham

Thanks but a friend has suggested what to do:

On the client's guest accounts, when you set up a printer you need to know the exact name of the printer and where it is. For example, if your server name is NANA and you have an HP DeskJet 895Cse (and that is the share name of the printer) then you would type the following:

\\NANA\HP DeskJet 895Cse

in the dialog box for installing a printer. By default you will not have access to your server when using a guest account on the clients.
