Hi folks :),

I work in a warehouse with a NT Server (latest service pack) and a Network with 16 Win 98 workstations. We are connected to the main office's firewall through a fiber-optic link and from there to the world (Internet).

Everything is working fine (and has been) but one workstation; with a little peculiarity it’s my BOSS workstation ([thumbsdown] ooops!).

This #%$@# computer was connecting perfectly to the Internet until last Friday (a day that my boss was off) but not anymore. I can connect to the network (tried with different users without problem) and I can Ping to the server and other workstation but it won't Ping to the firewall.

From other workstations I can ping the Firewall without problems. Just that @#%#$%!@ machine can't. I tried reinstalling MS Internet Explorer but I don't have a CD just the Win 98 original one. And after many Internet upgrades it won't make any good.

Please I need some help before starting to put Her (my boss) computer apart.

Thanks in advance for your attention.

Do u know the ip address of the hub your ping? u may need to set up that IP address in your TCP/IP in the network. Also u may need to set the gateway ip also.

Thanks for your help JakeSnake but I've posted this question in another forum (there were no answers here for a while as you've noticed) and the problem is solved.
