I just installed a Summit 450a as a routing switch, and currently have 5 vlans (10.80.x.x, 10.60.x.x, 10.50.x.x, 10.40.x.x, 10.30.x.x) configured. DHCP is picking up across the network, but when we try to send an image job via Altiris, the job fails. I can image computers on our 10.80.x.x, but cannot send to the others, and I also cannot ping across the vlans. Any ideas? Thanks.

Did you enable ipforwarding on the vlans (just type enable ipforwarding vlan xxx)

ipforwarding was enabled.

IProute has taken care of the pinging issue, but I still cannot get Altiris to work. I replaced our HP switches with these Extreme Summits and never had a problem w/the HP's because I was able to configure iphelper statements. Now with the Extreme I set up bootprelay but it fails every time. Any ideas?

Do you have igmp and igmp snooping enabled for all your VLANs?

You can check by doing "show igmp" and "show igmp snooping".

I thought you said that DHCP was working across the subnets?

If you do a show bootprelay on the switches that have the VLANs forwarding between each other (not just closet switches with VLANs tagged back to a core switch somewhere) what does it show? Does it list out the DHCP servers in your org? Does the stats show any relays taking/taken place?
